A DAY A WISH poem

A DAY A WISH
I am little girl…..
Everyone said I am star-crossed, as I am a baby girl.
My family use to beat me and thrown me around every day,
Shed tears every night and still afraid to face morning,
I waited for happiness to fell in my doom.
Now I am young lady…..
With single uniform manage my studies,
But, when it came to knee scolded by the family,
 I encouraged men.
I want to study higher, but they kept money for my brother.
Simply said I can’t choose right person,
I pray, the person they desire for me, will love me forever.
Every day is a new hope and a new fight.
Now I am women….
Rise before sunrise, so many jobs to do before breakfast.
I wish he ask me whether I ate anything and hold my hand when we walk alone.
I always pray my man loves no other women.
Whenever I make special dish to him with plenty of work left behind,
He always says his mother used to cook better.
Whenever there is argue or fight, I am the one who takes blame and slaps.
No matter how old I become, I came to know there won’t be a day for me….
I am….?
